Renewal Color Behind Story Part 2

In the last episode, we talked to Amelie BM, who was in charge of product planning and development of Narcissism Lip Tint.

I asked about the difference between the old color and the renewal color.

Then, this time, let's compare them one by one and find out which parts have been upgraded.

☑ CHECK POINT ① Comparison of package design

Previous children were unified in a red package with a strong impression regardless of color. The renewed children are designed in a clean matte transparent package so that you can recognize what color they are at a glance without looking for the product name.

The gold rim between the lid and the main box adds luxury to the lip tint.

The capacity is 4g by adding 1g to the existing 3g, but it is still a good size to carry, so it is convenient to hold it in one hand or put it in a pouch.

“We also focused on improving the tint container. The previous container was an opaque red container. There was a feedback that it was difficult to use because the color was not visible at a glance. So, while maintaining the compact size at the time of the renewal, we made it possible to distinguish the colors by the body part.”

☑ CHECK POINT ② Applicator comparison

In the past, the flat applicator was slightly slanted, so you could use it as if you were applying the tint with your fingertips.

On the other hand, it is recommended to apply the narcissism lip tint in circular motions from the inside of the lips to express a clear color and a moist, wet gloss. The applicator, which stretches straight and has a round tip, is round and optimized for application.

In addition, if you use the tip of the applicator, you can accurately and precisely express even in narrow areas such as the lip and corners of the lips. And since only one amount of bar is applied to the applicator from the entrance, you can easily control the amount.

Whereas the existing 714 Vamp Tint expressed a slightly dark blood, the renewed 714 Vamp Tint added a bit of coolness to it. Therefore, the color is a little clearer, and the skin type that suits you is greatly expanded. In short, it has been reborn as a much more popular color. ◆ BM’s Comment

“Compared to flat lip and air lip, the yellowness has been reduced a lot. There were a lot of people who liked the color of vampires, but there were a lot of feedbacks saying that it didn't suit me a bit. To solve this, I slightly reduced the yellowish tone to make it look like a mauve tone. However, it should not become an obvious red color, so I still left the characteristic blood color.”

The biggest difference from the existing 718 Cheritin is that the fluorescent light has been removed. Fluorescent equipment can instantly brighten your face, but it can cause your lips to appear floating as the harmony of the entire makeup is broken. So, I removed the fluorescent element and added a little more red to give it the feeling of smashing fresh cherries and putting them on the lips.

“It is a color that started from Flat Lips Air Lips Cherry Candy. The thing that was always disappointing while applying it was that the fluorescent light turned on a lot. In particular, flat lips and air lips do not emit fluorescent light, but I thought it might have changed when they changed to a tint formulation. So, I removed the fluorescent light and lowered the saturation a bit, and it looked like a fresh cherry, not a toy cherry. Some of you may regret it, but just apply it once! It will fit snugly on the lips without any feeling of floating. Our members expressed it like a color that naturally seeps in when you bite your lips tightly.”

“If you apply a brown lip, there is depth and atmosphere, but you have to give up the clarity and freshness?” He is a child who will break that prejudice at once. The darkness of raw chocolate, which was slightly felt in the existing 723 Tasty, was removed and instead, a clear and transparent syrup-like feeling sprinkled on sweet pancakes was added. This is a color I would recommend to those who like brown lip but feel a little burdensome.

◆ BM’s Comment

“When 723 Tastin was first released, it was truly Amelie’s only color. Do you really need to put a brown color on your lips to make them look dull? Even at a time when the perception was strong. After that, a lot of other companies also released it, but the characteristic dull brown did not go away. Amelie Brown Tint finely adjusts the brown and red pigments so that when applied, the brown color rises up, but the slightly mixed red and lip color blend together to create a natural harmony.”

Narcissism lip tint has excellent moisture and adhesion, but is not sticky. Then, compared to the previous children, we directly tested how sticky it is.

After applying the old version and the renewed 723 Tastin respectively, I pressed the tissue firmly. Can you see that the renewal (bottom) shows a lot less color than the old (top)?

Lastly, let's take a look at how the narcissism lip tint differs from that of existing children in terms of application.

I applied the old 723 Tastin and the renewed 723 Tastin 20 times each on the shells.

Can you see that the renewed child spreads much smoother through the cracks in the seashells? The formula, which seems to be slightly moistened with water, gently adheres to the lips without flaking off the dead skin cells, and fills the gaps between the lips for color development.
